This board has some of the most informed and most knowledgeable enthusiasts online, and yet whenever the Ash vs JWT issue comes up you react the same way Fast and Furious fans react to Supras: "it has lots of press and I’m familiar with it, so it must be great". It doesn’t make sense to me, Ash has been over the technical issues here, there are no additional unknown facts, he's explained exactly how his chip works and what makes it superior, the fact that JWT is established is no longer grounds to be afraid of something new. Unless there is a certifiable flaw in what Ash is done, there is no missing piece of this picture - his chip makes more power, is safer, and is a lot easier to tune to your individual car. Yet me leave you with this analogy of the comparative sizes: Ash < JWT = JWT < NISSAN JWT's chip sure make more power than a stock ECU, but does everyone get afraid that the "crazy small company" makes a defective product just because they aren’t a huge corporation? Hopefully in a few years (months?) you all will have learned that one superior product has simply been joined by a even more superior one.
